Agretti
Agretti is an Italian vegetable also called Monk's beard or Salsola Soda or opposite-leaved salt wort. It's an annual succulent shrub that is native to the Mediterranean basin. It can be irrigated with salt water and tends to grow in coastal regions.
It has a mildly salty flavor when raw, though when cooked that dissipates and it needs to be seasoned with salt. It tastes a bit like spinach and is often blanched or steamed and then sauteed until tender, which just takes a few minutes. Dressed with lemon juice and olive oil it's a bright side dish....
